Technology Infused Lesson Plan

 My Tech Infused Lesson Plan!

For my technology lesson plan, I chose to plan a lesson around using the website Starfall. Starfall is interactive website for Pre-K to 5th grade students that they can use in the learning process to make things more fun! This lesson is planned for English Language Arts for Kindergarten. This lesson plan focuses on targeting phonics, word recognition, fluency, and spelling. They will go on Starfall select their grade, then select English Language Arts, then will play two games that will help them with phonics, spelling, and word recognition, then they will read two books that helps with word recognition and fluency. The importance in this is that many children struggle to read, and that challenge can continue with into adulthood if it is not addressed. When working on phonics and phonemic awareness with them at an early age it will aid in bringing down the numbers for adults that struggle with reading when they get older. Learning to read can get frustrating and boring but when incorporating technology into it, it can be exciting for students and promote them to engage since they are learning in different ways other than pencil and paper or regular books.
