About Me
Hello everyone! My name is Imani Spence, and I am from Baltimore, MD. I have a deep passion for teaching and always had it since elementary school. My education experiences have been great! I've encountered teachers that have left a great impact on my life that has helped shaped me into who I am today. I attend Morgan State University and the reason I chose to attend Morgan State is because when I first came on campus I felt at home. I knew Morgan was the place for me when I was able to feel comfortable within my own skin and had the confidence in knowing that I has surrounded by people who are here to help me to be better. The reason I chose to be an educator is because I love learning, and I share that same love of learning with helping others learn. I enjoy helping others expand their minds and help them to explore resources and areas of learning that they haven't explored yet. I also want to be an educator who has a classroom that feels like a safe space. I would like for my students to know that they have somewhere to go and have someone that cares about them. I want the younger generation to have fun with learning and understand that they are not just another student who will get overlooked but they are a person who matters and who has a voice. I want to become an educator to bring a new change and new sense of life into the education system.
