My Professional Development and Technology Plan

What is a technology professional development plan?

  1. The purpose for a technology professional development plan is to properly integrate technology into students' everyday learning.
  2. It is important for teachers to participate in this type of development plan because this can help students with their learning and produce better results in their work. Integrating technology helps them to enjoy the learning process, gain exposure on how to use computers and technology, and students are able to better engage with the material that they are learning.
  3.  Here are some examples of how technology professional development plans have helped:

  • In an online article called, "Examples of Technology that Improve Student Learning", it says, "Technology profoundly impacts student learning by providing versatile tools that cater to diverse learning styles, fostering engagement, collaboration, and personalized education." This proves and shows why it is good to incorporate technology-based learning in the lessons and activities for students. It also says, "Online assessments provide instant feedback, allowing for timely adjustments and supporting continuous improvement."
  • Another online article called," Understanding the role of digital technologies in education: A review", it says, "Integrating technology into education provides students with an engaging learning experience, allowing them to remain more interested in the subject without being distracted." This meaning when students are able to be engaged in what they are learning and less distracted it promotes them to do well on their test because they are able to retain and gain information that they are consuming.
